Early On Wednesday

Fringe content creator Nick Nucholas Downsey, vanished with out a trace in 2024. His disappearance barely made the news. Only one small article. Online his disappearance had his followers terrified. 
He was best known for his cryptic podcast Low Signal and his Youtube Down the Spiral. Nick spent years investigating what he called the quiet zone. Locations where he believed the government and military was using technology to silence people, distort time, make people disappear, and do surveillance. 

 Join us while we discuss,  El Mano Negra, or The Black Hand, he may be responsible for more than 30 murders nationwide.

Researchers have looked the motive for past cases, which have included mental health, relationship problems, alcohol and substance use, physical health problems, criminal and legal issues, job or financial difficulties and domestic violence. More recently, a review of cases found negative childhood experiences to be risk factors, as are characteristics like gender, age and financial situation

Islam has a third type of being, djinn, who are made of smokeless fire. “Djinn” is where the word “genie” comes from, but they are more complicated than they appear in popular legends

It was January 29th, 1979. Monday morning children gathered in the playground waiting for school to start. 20 gunshots blasted through the laughter and games. The shots killing 2 and injuring many others. From a crossed the street a 16-year-old girl watched through the scope of a rifle. This is not a story of mental health reform, not the story of justice. This is the story of silent abuse, neglect, failed system, rage. This is the sound of a trigger pulled without any warning. 
 
He name is Brenda Spencer.

I bet Missy Bevers didn’t expect her life to end that way either.

EOW is introducing the Snallygaster. Newspaper accounts throughout February and March 1909 describe encounters between local residents and a beast with "enormous wings, a long pointed bill, claws like steel hooks, and an eye in the center of its forehead." It was described as making screeches "like a locomotive whistle." and its mortal enemy the Dwayyo Tales — a large beast with snarling fangs and a big, bushy tail — appear to have surfaced in Western Maryland around November 1965.
